describes the principles of our processing of information about you, including personal data and cookies, i.e. cookies.

1. General information

  1. This policy applies to the Website, functioning at the url address: www.amberstories.pl
  2. The operator of the website and the Administrator of personal data is: Międzynarodowe Targi Gdańskie S.A. ul. Żaglowa 11.

  4. The Operator is the Administrator of your personal data in relation to the data provided voluntarily on the Website.
  5. The Service uses personal data for the following purposes:
    • Running a newsletter.
    • Handling queries through the form.
    • Presentation of the offer or information.
  6. The website performs functions of obtaining information about users and their behavior in the following ways:
    • Through the voluntarily entered data in the forms, which are entered into the Operator's systems.
    • By storing cookies (so-called “cookies”) on end devices.

2. Selected data protection methods used by the Operator

  1. The places of login and entry of personal data are protected in the transmission layer (SSL certificate). As a result, personal data and login data entered on the website are encrypted on the user's computer and can only be read on the target server.
  2. Personal data stored in the database are encrypted in such a way that only the Operator's key can read them. Thanks to this, the data is protected in case the database is stolen from the server.
  3. The operator periodically changes its administrative passwords.
  4. In order to protect the data, the Operator regularly makes backup copies.
  5. An important element of data protection is the regular updating of all software used by the Operator for the processing of personal data, which in particular means regular updates of the software components.

4. Your rights and additional information about how your data is used

  1. In order to fulfill the obligations arising from the provisions on the protection of personal data and in order to ensure real data protection, the Operator has appointed a Data Protection Officer.

  3. In some situations, the Administrator has the right to transfer your personal data to other recipients, if this is necessary for the performance of the contract concluded with you or to fulfill the obligations incumbent on the Administrator. This applies to such audience groups:
    • hosting company on the basis of entrustment,
    • authorized employees and collaborators who use the data in order to achieve the purpose of the operation of the site,
    • companies providing marketing services to the Administrator.
  4. Your personal data processed by the Administrator no longer than is necessary to perform related activities specified by separate regulations (e.g. on accounting). With regard to marketing data, the data will not be processed for more than 3 years.
  5. You have the right to request from the Administrator:
    • access to personal data concerning you,
    • their correction,
    • removals,
    • restriction of processing,
    • and the transfer of data.

You have the right to object to the processing indicated in point 3.3 c) to the processing of personal data in order to exercise the legitimate interests pursued by the Administrator, including profiling, whereas the right of objection may not be exercised in the event of the existence of valid legitimate grounds for processing, interests, rights and freedoms overriding you, in particular establishment, investigation or defense claims.
  7. The Administrator's actions are subject to a complaint to the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw.
  8. Providing personal data is voluntary, but necessary to operate the Website.
  9. In relation to you, actions consisting of automated decision-making, including profiling, may be taken in order to provide services within the framework of the concluded contract and for the purpose of conducting direct marketing by the Administrator.
  10. Personal data are transferred from third countries within the meaning of the provisions on the protection of personal data. This means that we send them outside the European Union.

5. Information in the forms

  1. The Service collects information voluntarily provided by the user, including personal data, if provided.
  2. The service can save information about connection parameters (timestamp, IP address).
  3. The Service, in some cases, may save information that facilitates linking the data in the form with the e-mail address of the user filling out the form. In this case, the user's email address appears inside the url of the page containing the form.
  4. The data provided in the form are processed for the purpose resulting from the function of a particular form, e.g. to carry out the process of handling a service request or commercial contact, registration of services, etc. Each time the context and description of the form clearly informs what it is used for.

6. Administrator Logs

  1. Information about the behavior of users on the website may be subject to login. This data is used for the administration of the website.

7. Relevant marketing techniques

  1. The operator uses statistical analysis of traffic on the website, through Google Analytics (Google Inc. based in the USA). The operator does not transfer personal data to the operator of this service, but only anonymized information. The service is based on the use of cookies on the user's end device. Regarding information about user preferences collected by the Google advertising network, the user can view and edit the information resulting from cookies using the tool: https://www.google.com/ads/preferences/
  2. The Operator uses remarketing techniques, allowing to match advertising messages to the user's behavior on the website, which may give the illusion that the user's personal data is used to track him, however, in practice, no personal data is transferred from the Operator to the advertising operators. The technological condition for such actions is the inclusion of cookies.
  3. The operator uses the Facebook pixel. This technology allows Facebook (Facebook Inc. based in the USA) to know that a registered person is using the Service. In this case, it is based on data for which it is itself the administrator, the Operator does not transfer any additional personal data from itself to Facebook. The service is based on the use of cookies on the user's end device.
  4. The operator uses a solution that studies user behavior by creating heat maps and recording behavior on the site. This information is anonymized before it is sent to the service provider so that it does not know which natural person it concerns. In particular, the entered passwords and other personal data are not subject to recording.
  5. The Operator uses a solution that automates the operation of the Website in relation to users, e.g. that can send an e-mail to the user after visiting a specific subpage, provided that he has consented to receive commercial correspondence from the Operator.

  1. The website uses cookies.
  2. Cookies (so-called “cookies”) are IT data, in particular text files, which are stored in the end device of the Service User and are intended for the use of the Website's websites. Cookies usually contain the name of the website from which they come, the time they are stored on the end device and a unique number.
  3. The entity that places cookies on the end device of the Website User and obtains access to them is the operator of the Website.

    • maintaining a session of the Service user (after logging in), thanks to which the user does not have to re-enter the login and password on each subpage of the Service;
